Mayor - Randy Ahlers
Community pride shines through as we continue to grow and make improvements within the Village. Upgrades to the park equipment, softball diamonds and a newly constructed water treatment plant are just a few of projects we have completed over the last several years. In 2015, we finished the project enhancing the downtown area and are currently in the process of constructing the new Redskin Park. 2015 also brought a new residential subdivision development project, Woodland Estates, on the east end of Fort Loramie, close to Lake Loramie State Park.
Tradition runs deep in our small town. We are proud of our history and are lucky enough to have a group, the Fort Loramie Historical Association, preserving artifacts significant to this area. The patronage in our community is second to none. Our Fire Department and Rescue Squad, along with the Historical Association, Fort Loramie Area Chamber of Commerce, Liberty Days, and German Heritage Days committees are ran by volunteers. These groups play an important role in our community.
While browsing the website be sure to visit Fort Loramie School’s website. Our top rated district consistently earns an “excellent” rating from the State of Ohio. Not only does Fort Loramie Schools have a proven academic reputation, but it also provides students with a variety of other extracurricular activities and sports.
Consider our industrial park for your next business endeavor. For those looking to expand or start a business I encourage you to partner with the fastest growing community in Shelby County. In 2015 alone, we had several new building projects and expansions to existing businesses. Become part of the extended Fort Loramie family by letting the people of this wonderful community show you why this is a great place to live, learn and work.
